Super Set Your Dream
Welcome back!
It’s time to get back to the health aspect of reaching our dream. Health is just as important as any other area of our lives. If you’ve been reading this blog you know that weight training is my favorite form of exercise, in particular, super setting. This involves back to back sets with no rest. You can do several types of super sets however, the two most popular are opposing muscle groups and same set muscle groups. I also like to include tri-sets in my routine. I use tri-sets to target a muscle group that doesn’t develop as quickly as the others, for me it’s my shoulders. A tri-set is just as you may have guessed, three exercises back to back.
When I workout at home I use Power Block Weights & Dumbbells
Power Block weights are the best weights you can use at home for super setting because they don’t take up much room and you can change your weight really quick. Who wants ten sets of dumb bells spread out everywhere? Not to mention when you have to put them away it’s a lot of work and after a hard super set routine who wants to do that?
If I go to the gym I line my free weights up next to the bench I’m working on so that I can, once again, quickly grab the next set of weights for the next set. It’s imperative you move quick so you can get the full benefit of super setting. Another great benefit is that you save a lot of time. I have cut my workout time in half using these techniques and have better results doing super sets than with any other type of exercise.
So you can see Power Blocks and super sets in action:
